At Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus of Fredericksburg (POASF), we believe that every child deserves excellent and up-to-date medical and/or surgical eye care delivered in a kid-friendly environment. We are a doctor-owned and operated private practice and because of that, our patients always come first. Dr. Paviglianiti (Dr. Pav) is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship-trained in the subspecialty of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus and truly enjoys working with kids (and telling bad dad jokes). Here at POASF, we recognize the unique needs of childrens’ eyes and the importance of early intervention if there are problems. We see children aged 0-21 with any sort of eye problem, and adults over 21 who have new or old issues with strabismus/eye misalignment/double vision. Finally, we have a special place in our hearts for people of all ages with special needs (e.g. Down’s syndrome, Autism, Global Delays) who need an accurate, gentle, and compassionate eye exam.

We offer emergent appointments if something urgent creeps up with your child’s eyes (pinkeye, something in the eye, scratches to their eye, trauma, etc.). Whether your child has a complicated eye problem or just needs a thorough eye exam to see if their complaint of blurry vision is because they need glasses (or not!), Dr. Pav will always give his utmost effort on your child’s behalf. We will take the time to answer all of your questions, explain treatment options, and provide the highest quality eye health treatments available.
